This is to discuss the results to the pre post test.
When trying to "judge" or evaluate students creativity it was hard to give more than 1 point as I found them to not be particularly creative. It looks as if students were unsure what to do
with the circles.
Then a collected date from the questionaire that accompanied the creativity test. Again I found the results surprising.
Question1 was this difficult--- i didnt not find many students felt it was difficult (they thought they were successful?)
Question2 were you creative-- many indicated positively that they were creative? surprising
Question3 would it be easier to work in a group-- majority said yes or choose a "face" to indicate that they like collaboration also
Question4 need more time-- they all seem to answer towards the fact that they wanted more time but not as many as I thought for how uncreative I think the circles are.
Question 5 nervous about the test-- well again most leaned towards not finding it nerve wracking or uncomfortable apparently ignorance is bliss or youth is bliss.
The post test was not administered directly after the end of the project. Other more pressing issues had to be dealt with in class.
The finding were not far off from the pre test!!!
I didnt find much more creativity with the circles. I feel there may have been a disconnect with the creativity being inline with project.
With that said Question 3- would this be easier to do in a group that answer was overwhelmingly strongly agree YES.
SO the students reflect the project COLLABORATION. They saw it in their work, felt it, owned it, watched the teachers do it, and also other students whom they never met.
